Ergentics, LLC is a California education-software company. We build adaptive learning apps for professional credentialing and lifelong study.
What we believe
Most study time is wasted on work that's either too easy to be useful or too hard to be productive. The best teachers — human ones — keep learners in the narrow band where attention pays off, then move them on as soon as it stops. Software can do this systematically, and it should.
Our work centers on a single adaptive engine that schedules practice across three dimensions: current recall, long-term storage, and goal alignment. The same engine drives a board-exam study app and a math-mastery app and an ear-training app — because the science of what to drill next is largely the same regardless of subject. What changes is the content layer.
How we work
Engine improvements are made once and compound across every product. Content is authored by domain experts and reviewed against current authoritative sources. Telemetry, when learners opt in, is blinded — random participant ids, no personal identifiers — and used only to refine the model. Nothing is sold, traded, or used for advertising.
The mark
Our mark is the gradient operator: ∇. Three vertices, one for each dimension of the engine — recall, storage, goal — converging toward the steepest direction of progress. The name Ergentics joins ergon (work, effort) with -ics (a discipline studied formally). Directed work, treated as something to measure.
