Ergentics, LLC ("Ergentics," "we") publishes adaptive learning apps including PMHNP Companion and, in development, Algebra and Music Theory. Your privacy is straightforward: our apps do not collect, transmit, or sell personal information. The only exception is one clearly-labeled, optional sharing toggle, described below — and it is off by default.
Scope
This policy applies to all Ergentics-published applications and to this website at ergentics.com. Where a specific app has additional in-app disclosures (a first-launch acknowledgment, a Settings explanation), those describe the same practices in product-specific terms; this policy is the canonical statement.
Data stored on your device
Your study data — including any display name or exam date you enter, practice history, baseline diagnostic results, calibration values, and acknowledgments — is stored only on your own device. There are no user accounts and no sign-in for our learning apps. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling it removes this information.
Optional sharing — "Help improve the model"
Each Ergentics learning app contains a single optional data-sharing feature in its Settings, generally labeled Help improve the model. It is off by default; nothing is ever transmitted unless you turn it on. When enabled, your anonymized practice record (study events and the app's tuning values) is uploaded to Ergentics infrastructure at most once per week. The upload is tagged with a random participant id generated on your device — never your name, email, or any device identifier — and is used for one purpose: refining the accuracy of the app's adaptive model. Turning the toggle off stops all future sharing immediately. To request deletion of previously shared records, contact the address below and include your participant id (visible inside the app).
No analytics or tracking
Our apps contain no advertising, no third-party analytics SDKs, and no trackers. Shared study records (if you opt in) are not used for advertising or sold to any third party.
Hosting
Our apps and this website are delivered through Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare may log standard technical request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver the service; Ergentics does not use that information to identify or track individual learners. The Google Fonts service is loaded by this website to display typography; it is governed by Google's privacy practices.
Children
PMHNP Companion is intended for nurse practitioners and students preparing for a professional board examination, not for children. Other Ergentics products may be appropriate for older students; none are directed at children under 13 and none knowingly collect data from them.
California residents
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information has been collected about you, to request deletion of any such information, and to opt out of any sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Because our apps store data on-device and optional shared records are blinded (no personal identifiers), there is generally no personal information about you in our systems to disclose or delete; if you have shared opt-in records, you can request deletion via the contact below.
Changes
This policy may be updated from time to time as our products evolve; the effective date above will change accordingly. Material changes will be summarized in the relevant app's update notes.
